Wellness from Afar: Mind, Body, and Spirit
Creighton University lives the Ignatian value of cura personalis, or “personal care” for the whole person – mind, body and spirit. During this extended time away from campus, view ways to stay connected and care for yourself and sense of community here.
Wellness is the multidimensional awareness and practice of cura personalis, or “care for the individual person,” to achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Your goal is to find and pursue your passion, and our goal is to help you achieve the healthy, balanced lifestyle that will allow you to do so. To accomplish this, the Division of Student Life encourages students to participate in activities that cultivate the following dimensions of wellness:
Expanding a sense of purpose and meaning in life.
Developing a sense of connection, belonging and a well-developed support system.
Good health by occupying pleasant, stimulating environments.
Satisfaction with current and future financial situations.
Recognizing creative abilities and finding ways to expand knowledge and skills.
Recognizing the need for physical activities, healthy foods and sleep.
Coping effectively with life and creating satisfying relationships.
Personal satisfaction and enrichment from one’s work.
