Check-in for Summer Preview occurs at the Harper Center and begins at 8 a.m. the first day of the program. The program lasts until 2 p.m. on the second day. You may be able to leave early based on the student’s registration time, but you will not know this until you are on campus and have checked in. Please make travel plans accordingly.
Orientation events are casual! Dress for your own comfort. Air conditioning and summer heat can pose a comfort adjustment issue. Therefore, you should plan to wear layers to adjust to the different indoor and outdoor environments. Students are encouraged to wear tennis shoes because of many active events.
The Creighton Bookstore will be open for your convenience to purchase souvenirs and supplies.
No baby-sitting services or children’s programs are provided; if younger family members attend, they will be charged the full fee and be expected to room and attend meetings with their parents.
Registration materials for Summer Preview will be emailed to all deposited students in early spring. The online registration form will open May 1. To register, complete the registration form online. Payments will be made online during the program registration. Registration is not complete until we have received payment (if applicable).
Once registered, you will receive an email notice confirming your Summer Preview reservation and indicate the session that you have been assigned.
Each preview session is limited to 185 students. We adhere to this limit to accommodate individual advising appointments for each student. Therefore, please register early. The probability of granting your first choice is high, but sessions are filled as reservations are received.
Participation in Summer Preview is strongly encouraged due to course registration, but not required. If you are unable to attend, the fall Welcome Week program will provide many opportunities for you to become better acquainted with Creighton University.
All new freshmen and transfer students will attend Welcome Week in mid-August.
