art gallery

Art is essential to create an aesthetic educational environment to support the Skutt Student Center’s role as a recreational area, meeting location, and event setting. The Skutt Student Center’s artwork, gallery, and poetry slams provide the Creighton University community with opportunities to appreciate and understand creative expression. The Skutt Student Center seeks to maintain and enhance its current collection of artwork, to exhibit the work of the university community, and provide performance opportunities for creative writers.

Art Gallery

The Art Gallery is located at the top of the grand stairway inside the Skutt Student Center. Approximately 75 feet long and five feet tall, the suspended wall is used to educate and promote artists. The gallery can be reserved for exhibitions and is the home to the annual Creighton Student Art Exhibit (CSAE).

Art Loan Program

The Art Loan Program allows for designated pieces of art to be loaned to University departments for a one-year period at no cost. The Art Loan Program supplies pieces of art to departments as well as supplying wall decor and school artifacts. The program was designed to allow student art to be circulated throughout campus.
